The sale went incredibly smooth as we earned the seller several hundred thousand over the last time it was listed just a few months prior. The review is based solely on unrelated items that occurred after the sale that were not in our ability to control. Up until then, the seller was raving about how they were going to write us the best review and refer us to everyone they knew locally. The seller lived out of the area and left an entire house full of furniture and items and expected that we handle this without their help, there was over 50 years worth of personal items in the home. We orchestrated movers, dumpsters, etc., and spent many days helping to unload everything for them to go the extra mile. The seller asked that we track down the new buyer, 2 weeks after the sale ended, to have them find a few cameras and old cable boxes that were potentially left in the house and then send them back. I assume these were long thrown out. It took about 2 weeks to get a hold of the new buyer and at this point, we gladly picked the items up, and met someone to send them back. Even after this, the seller was unhappy with our response time which was completely out of our hands. I even offered to pay the late fees for the items that needed returned, not because we wanted to take blame, but because this is how we conduct business to make sure everyone is happy at the end. I even called Time Warner to have the fees removed for the seller even after the negative review landed.
